Based at Bodicote Park on the Oxford Road, the Club has over 100 active senior players and over 450 boys and girls playing aged from 5 to 18 years old. Many other Club Members simply enjoy the lively social scene as supporters and parents.

Banbury’s 1st XV – the famous Banbury Bulls – achieved promotion in 2015/16 and currently play in the South West One (East) League, the sixth tier of Rugby Union in England. For good measure they also won the Oxfordshire Cup in the same season. There are three more senior men’s sides – the ‘Lions’, ‘Wanderers’ and ‘Old Nicks’ – together with the Banbury Belles ladies side.

Banbury’s Youth Section is consistently the highest achiever amongst its Oxfordshire clubs peer-group. Under the leadership of Youth Chairman Keith Oakes the Club is maintaining a reputation for exceptional player and coaching development, and as a feeder to County sides, England age-grade programmes and to professional club academies.

Under the Chairmanship of Mr John Colegrave, Banbury Rugby Club has recently complemented its unrivalled playing facilities with state-of-the-art social amenities – The Robin Greaves Sports Centre. The Club possesses six full-sized pitches – two of which are floodlit and one of which boasts a 300-seat grandstand – plus three dedicated youth pitches.

Banbury Rugby Club has a long track-record of hosting Major Events from England Ladies matches, Daily Mail Cup semi-finals, Northampton Saints rugby academies, plus of course County and Club youth tournaments. Bodicote Park also enjoys substantial parking on both tarmac and grass with easy access from the North and South. The site can also be used for other large events with ample space for marquees.
