Banbury Colts sealed another win, in what turned into a frustrating afternoon at Bodicote Park. Banbury showed great endeavour in the early stages, with slick hands and superb line breaks, but to be fair Oxford defended well. After a period of concerted pressure Banbury were awarded with a penalty and kicked for the corner. From the resulting line out, a clean take from skipper Lewis Wheeler and a good drive, Dan Rodda found himself at the back of the maul, who broke to the open side to score unopposed.
The first half finished 5-0 to Banbury.
The second half was a game of cat and mouse with both sides creating plenty of opportunities, but good defence kept the status Quo!! Sometime later Banbury scored their second try after a period camped on the Oxford Line, after about 12 phases Ryan Moller dived over to score Banbury’s 2nd, superbly converted by Nick Dawkins.
Banbury played well and defended superbly.. we will take the win learn from it
