With two large squads, a 13-a-side and an 8-a-side game were played to maximise game time for the players.
Despite the wet conditions, there very very few handling errors which was highly commendable.
With the referees having different focuses, each team had stronger patches where they were more comfortable.
With Stratford taking the lead in Q1, Banbury entered the break without breaking a sweat. Q2 saw greater level of commitment and Banbury took control of the game. Charlie's hard lines and defensive speed created two tries for himself. Q3 saw a number of Stratford tries, based on the same old issues. Q4 saw Banbury make significant progress through quick ball and open play.
A number of injuries (thankfully not serious) impacted Banbury's morning and it feels like one we let get away.
Overall, some pleasing elements but with lots to work on.
Congratulations to Callum S on making his first run out for the team.
