With 21 players making the northbound trip on the M40, early arrival saw time to prepare and focus on the morning’s rugby.
Banbury took to the game and applied themselves well in the first half, controlling the majority of the game, through robust tackling and powerful running.
The Bees fought back in the second half, largely with the help of some weakened Banbury tackling and s tendency for sideways running.
All players showed their commitment to the team and with a number of notable performances, not leader by Will Wilkinson to score the final try in the closing minutes.
