So the thinking goes that our opponents drew with a team we had beaten easily so today would be an easy home win.

Just goes to show that you can’t reliably predict from previous results...

Oxford in the first half (albeit with the wind) were outstanding. After conceding a try they fought back well and ended up with a converted trying their own. Their defence was excellent and their offence not so bad either. Banbury were lucky to go in at half time only two points down.

That all changed after the break. With the wind at their backs Banbury were able to turn up the heat and very quickly put themselves into a commanding 31-7 lead. Credit to Oxford that they still carried on and gained a consolation try at the end.

Another good win for the U15s which should keep us top of our group at the halfway point in the competition.
