We have played Reading Abbey once before and it was close then. Despite the score line it was close today as well.

With no score until the 25th minute we watched both sets of boys yet everything to get a breakthrough.

Banbury achieved it but the lead lasted just a couple of minutes. Neither try could be described as remarkable... just exploiting little mistakes in their opponents line.

The second half went much the same way but our opponents were better at getting it out to the wingers who were very very fast.

Despite that, Banbury were camped on the Abbey goal line for much of the second half but could not make that possession count and were giving away penalties which took the pressure off.

A match for us to learn from but lots of positive signs for the future.
