We are delighted to recognise Russell White as our Volunteer of the Month for July.

Russ received many nominations in recognition of the huge amount of time, energy and commitment he gives to Banbury Rugby Club.

A very popular choice, Russ could easily have been awarded Volunteer of the Month several times during the season. Not only does he turn out to play himself, but he also gives a huge amount back to the club through his work with the Belles, supporting with coaching, organisation and helping the section continue to grow.

Russ is also involved at county level and has played an important role in supporting player development across the age groups. Our current U17s, soon to become U18s, have benefited from Russ’s coaching and leadership from U5s right through to U16s level.

Through his encouragement, enthusiasm and love of the game, Russ has helped inspire players of all ages to take part, enjoy their rugby and feel part of the Banbury Rugby Club family.

The work Russ puts in often goes unseen by many, but it plays a hugely important part in helping create positive experiences across the club and bringing our rugby community together.
