Georgina was chosen to mark the conclusion of her incredible ‘12 Hikes in 12 Months’ challenge, raising vital funds and awareness for the RFU Injured Players Foundation.

Following a serious spinal injury sustained by her father, John ‘JB’ Baker, while playing in a Vets match in November, Georgina set out to give back to the charity that has supported him and the wider Baker family. Throughout the year, her determination, resilience and commitment brought together members of the Banbury RUFC community in support of a cause that helps injured rugby players at every level of the game.

The Injured Players Foundation provides lifelong support to players who sustain catastrophic spinal cord or severe brain injuries, funds vital research to make the game safer, and assists players and families during the most challenging moments of their lives.

We are incredibly proud of Georgina’s achievement and thank her for embodying the very best of our club’s values, compassion, community and commitment.
