PRESS RELEASE
14 Automotive and Carbody (Banbury) Ltd Sponsor Banbury RUFC, Providing Branded Community Coaches’ Vehicle
Banbury, UK – Thursday 20th February
14 Automotive and Carbody (Banbury) Ltd are proud to announce their joint sponsorship of Banbury Rugby Union Football Club (Banbury RUFC), supporting the club both on and off the field. As part of the partnership, the companies have provided a fully branded community coaches’ vehicle to assist in delivering rugby sessions to local schools and community groups, including those with disabilities.
The vehicle was officially handed over ahead of last Saturday’s Banbury Bulls v Syston senior match, where it was formally accepted by Banbury RUFC’s Director of Rugby, Matt Goode.
"This sponsorship is a game-changer for our community outreach," said Goode. "Having a dedicated vehicle allows us to bring rugby to more young players, schools, and groups, ensuring the sport remains at the heart of Banbury. We’re incredibly grateful to 14 Automotive and Carbody (Banbury) Ltd for their support, it’s partnerships like these that make a real difference."
The sponsorship also included match day support, with 14 Automotive and Carbody (Banbury) Ltd hosting a packed hospitality event for the Banbury Bulls v Syston fixture. The afternoon featured a three-course meal, a raffle, keynote speeches, and a fantastic atmosphere as the club’s supporters rallied behind the team.
Following a hard-fought match, which saw the Bulls mount an impressive second-half comeback but narrowly lose 21-17, Founders and Leon Smith Managing Director of 14 Automotive, took to the pitch to present the 1st XV Player of the Match award. The award was jointly given to Quinten Blythe and Matt Dandy for their outstanding performances in the backs and forwards, respectively.
Speaking about the sponsorship, Smith said: "We’re honoured to support Banbury RUFC, not just on match days but throughout the season with the community coaching vehicle. Local sports clubs play a vital role in bringing people together, and we’re proud to be part of that journey. We look forward to seeing the vehicle in action, helping to make rugby more accessible and inspiring the next generation of players." This partnership highlights 14 Automotive and Carbody (Banbury) Ltd’s commitment to investing in grassroots sport and supporting the wider Banbury community. The community coaches’ vehicle will be used throughout the season, ensuring rugby remains inclusive and accessible to all.
