Technology is always advancing - both on and off the pitch - and the Club has recently undergone a significant upgrade. This has been achieved with assistance from our Technology Partner, and local IT specialist, MirrorSphere.

A newly implemented Wi-Fi solution has been installed with a more powerful reach that enables the wireless network to be broadcast well out onto the pitches beyond the Clubhouse. Connection to the network is simplified for visitors to the Club and Banbury Rugby Club Members will access a premium internet service versus other visitors.

This has been made possible due to the implementation of a new fibre broadband connection that will improve the overall performance of the Club's internet. Additionally, a new router has been configured that will also allow greater resilience of the internet connection, especially at busy times such as matchdays.

A more secure approach to managing the Club’s Wi-Fi enables the public networks to be segmented and managed differently to ensure that bandwidth hogs don’t spoil the experience for everyone else! Eventually the solution will be scaled to add additional wireless access points into all areas of the Club to provide even greater coverage.
