Banbury RUFC is delighted to congratulate Junior Denny and Ben Koolen, who have both signed Senior Academy contracts with Gloucester Rugby ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The pair were confirmed as part of Gloucester Rugby’s latest Senior Academy intake, joining a talented group of young players progressing into the professional set-up at Kingsholm. Junior, a winger, and Ben, a prop, have both been recognised for their development and potential after coming through the Gloucester pathway.

For Banbury RUFC, it is another proud moment to see two young players with links to the club take the next step in their rugby journeys. Their progression into a Premiership Rugby environment is a fantastic achievement and reflects the hard work, dedication and commitment they have shown throughout their development.

Gloucester Rugby’s announcement also highlighted the strength of the pathway, with players progressing from a wide range of clubs and schools across the region. Junior and Ben’s inclusion in the Senior Academy group underlines the quality of young rugby talent being developed across the local game.
