What you need to do

Step 1 - Team Selection

• Pick 15 players of your choice (including your super sub and captain)
• Your team must have: 3 back three, 2 centre, 1 fly-half, 1 scrum-half, 3 back row, 2 second-row, 2 prop and 1 hooker.
• Your substitute can be any of the above roles.
• Note that you can only select a maximum of 4 players from the same country.

Step 2 - Managing Budgets

• Each player is assigned a star value based on his reputation and likely performance in the game.
• You have 240 stars to build your team.
• Make sure you manage your budget carefully!

Step 4 - Points System

Your players will score points based on their performance in the real matches.
Here are the detailed statistics used in the game and the points associated with them:

ATTACKING ACTIONS
Try | 10 pts
Try assist | 4 pts
Try conversion | 2 pts
Penalty kick | 3 pts
Drop goal | 5 pts
Defenders beaten | 2 pts
Carried metres | 1 pt per 10m made (i.e: 19m = 1 pt)
50-22 | 7 pts

DEFENSIVE ACTIONS
Tackles | 1 pt
Breakdown steals | 5 pts
Lineout steals |7 pts
Penalty conceded | - 1pt

GENERAL ACTIONS
Captain | Points multiplied by 2
Supersub | Points multiplied by 3 (if he starts as a sub and comes in. Otherwise, points divided by 2)
Official Guinness Six Nations Player of the Match | 15 pts
Yellow card | -3 pts
Red card | -6 pts
