After a nail biting final with the lead being swapped several times Magdalen were crowned Northants Sixth Form Champions! in horrendous conditions with swirling wind and torrential rain Bishops took an early lead with two early penalties. Magdalen then bounced back with a try but Bishops proved tough opponents and replied with a try of their own.

The Brackley side made several changes in the second half bringing on some much needed fresh legs which proved to be beneficial with a 6' 7" nineteen stone forward powering over to restore Magdalen's lead (no, it wasn't me!) followed by a late converted try to seal a hard fought and well deserved win!

Magdalen's team consisted of some very raw but enthusiastic recruits who did them selves proud! A few seasoned rugby players from Buckingham colts, and last, but certainly not least, two Banbury U16 players Aaron Peachey and Reece Lines.
