On Sunday it was the first fixture for many of the girls. Our nerves were at an all time high with tension building as we ran out onto the pitch to begin our warm ups. Before we knew it, we there on a full size pitch setting up to prepare for one of our first games as a team. We believe despite the expertise in our coaching team and training on Sundays, the real life game situation really helps us develop our understanding of the game and highlights areas that we can develop and improve our performance and this was the attitude we took to the games.
Although we lost the games we played I believe that we gained so much more significant than a win, in that we gained fresh team mentality and support. We were asked by Kettering if we would like to borrow some of their players, but we (the Junior Belles) agreed 'we would win as a team or lose as a team'.
On behalf of the Junior Belles I would like to thank our team support for organising the games and training and for helping us to be better players and for keeping us motivated on the side-lines despite our loses.
